I am currently in my 18th year of teaching which was divided between Fairfax and Prince William County Public Schools. I graduated from Shippensburg University with a B.A. in Elementary Education and a minor in Environmental Science. I am certified to teach kindergarten through 8th grade in all academic areas and environmental sciences from 9th to 12th grade. I also have extensive experience in teaching algebra. I strive to create a meaningful relationship with each child I teach. I believe this is the core foundation in building an optimal learning environment. Finally, I like to weave confidence lessons throughout my sessions to help my students gain traction in becoming a proactive learner.
I hand select highly qualified tutors to help foster personal and academic growth in your child.

Teaching has always been the profession I have wanted to be in, and I’m grateful to wake up everyday and do what I love. I am currently a 6th grade English/Science teacher at Warrenton Middle School. I did my undergraduate program at Christopher Newport University, receiving my bachelors in English Literature in 2013. I got my Masters in Education at UNC: Chapel Hill in 2014. While in school myself, I worked on the school newspaper and was Editor-in-Chief of the literary magazine. I have a passion and love for the written word; thus, teaching writing has always been in my wheelhouse. I taught elementary school for 4 years in Williamsburg James City County, and I miss that beautiful community I built with my coworkers and students. I also am a mother to a sweet 2 year old son, who is always challenging me to learn new things everyday.
